The VA Office of Cyber and Information Security (OCIS) hosts the annual VA InfoSec Conference and Exposition. This conference is a VA-wide conference and is supported by all VA Administrations and Staff Offices.
VA is the largest civilian government department, handling vast amounts of medical and other sensitive information to fulfill its mission of providing services to veterans. The community of VA cyber security practitioners works to ensure the confidentiality, data integrity, and availability of the Department's information assets. This conference is VA's premier event that provides the entire gamut of security subject matter to the VA security community. Department of Veterans Affairs' mission is to provide benefits and services to veterans and their dependents. In addition, the Department is tasked to undertake research in health-related areas and provide medical training. Office of Cyber Security is part of VA's Office of Information and Technology.
