BELLEVUE, Wash. – Aug. 6, 2003 – Attachmate Corporation, 20 year veterans of host information access and longtime Unisys® partner (NYSE: UIS), announced the release and availability of two products, INFOConnect® Enterprise Edition v7.5 and INFOConnect Airlines Enterprise Edition (Airlines Workstation) v7.5. These new versions boast product features for increasing productivity and lowering total cost of ownership.
INFOConnect Enterprise Edition v7.5 carries the ‘Designed for Windows XP’ logo, and its compatibility with Windows® XP lets organizations take full advantage of the operating system’s functionality, and also fully leverages the Windows® 2000 platform. The enhanced Microsoft® Installer (MSI) support for Multi-User and Restricted user environments allows INFOConnect to fit seamlessly into the customer environment.
The two product releases provide users with powerful new tools that can be exploited via the Attachmate Management and Control Server (MCS), including:
Web-based centralized management – This allows users to centrally administer, configure, and deploy INFOConnect clients and software updates.
Terminal ID management – The ability to pool terminal IDs, track ID usage, and manage inactivity timeout values for specific users, conserves terminal ID resources and significantly reduces operating expenses.
Multiple levels of security – Added features include MCS Security Services, Kerberos single sign-on, and NIST FIPS 140-1 Validated™ encryption via the CryptoConnect™ client encryption module.
Integrated myEXTRA! Enterprise v7.11 – INFOConnect provides multi-host environment support, including T27, UTS, 3270, 5250, VT, and Airlines (ALC and PTR).
