Change Fonts and Display Colors

Changes you make to the fonts and display colors are saved to the currently selected Theme file. By default, new terminal sessions use built-in Theme files that are optimized for each terminal type. These files are not editable. If you are using one of these built-in Themes, InfoConnect automatically creates an editable copy of the theme file and saves your changes to this file, located in the Themes folder in your InfoConnect user data folder This folder location is configurable using the Data Location tab during installation. The default is C:\Users\username\Documents\Micro Focus\InfoConnect. .

Use these procedures to customize the look of your terminal sessions:

Change colors using point-and-click

This option is available if you are using the ribbon interface.

  1. Click the Appearance tab.

  2. Click Color and select a color.

  3. Click again in the part of the terminal window (background or text) that you want to modify.

  4. Save your session file.

NOTE:

  • Color changes you make using the ribbon are saved to the currently selected theme file when you save your session.   • If you are editing the status line in ALC, UTS, or T27, point-and-click color edits may not work. For these terminal types, the recommended method for editing the status line is to use the Modify Themes dialog box as described in the next procedure.

Change fonts and display colors in the current theme

You can modify the currently selected theme to use your preferred fonts and colors.

  1. Open a terminal session.

  2. Under Terminal Appearance, click Manage Themes.

  3. Click Modify the currently selected theme file.

    The Modify Theme dialog box shows the display options available for your session type.

  4. Edit the options and click OK.

    When you click OK in the Modify Theme dialog box, your changes are saved to the currently selected them file (*.themex).

  5. Save your session file.

Change the theme used by a terminal session

You can change display for a session by choosing a different theme. You can choose a different built-in theme or choose any custom theme you have created.

  1. Open a terminal session.

  2. Under Terminal Appearance, click Manage Themes.

  3. Click Select another theme file.

  4. Select your new theme and click OK.

    Clicking OK updates your current session file to use the new theme.
