Reflection for Secure IT Server for Windows 8.3 Release Notes

Reflection for Secure IT Server for Windows 8.3 released in July 2019 and is available for new and maintained customers.

What’s New?

This update includes:

  • SHA256 fingerprint support has been added for public keys. It is added in the server console and logs, in addition to SHA1 and MD5.

    Public key fingerprints can now be encoded using Base64, BubbleBabble, or Hexidecimal. This option is available in the General pane of the Configuration tab, and effects the display of public key fingerprints in the server console and logs.

  • Reflection for Secure IT Server for Windows now supports Windows Server 2019

  • Server now stops accepting connections under extremely high load when credential cache is in use for authenticating users, thus preventing server failures.

  • Users can now expect reasonable connection times while logging is in progress.

  • All icons and images reflect the new product branding.

  • Improved operating system version reporting in debug logs.

  • Non-ASCII file name support in SFTP works correctly when connecting to non-Reflection for Secure IT clients.

  • Cross domain authentication issue has been resolved.

  • Terminal issues with dynamic resizing if terminal is wider than 128 characters has been resolved.

  • The client IP address has been added to the failed login message.

  • When closing an SFTP session, a force disconnect from UNC shares occurs.

  • Improved tracking and mounting of UNC shares.

  • The PKI Console is no longer incorrectly disabled when using the PKI Services Manager button.

  • Non-Reflection for Secure IT clients no longer repeatedly write “Authenticated with partial success" messages on the terminal when the server is configured for password caching and no password is in the cache.
