If you use the ribbon interface, you can customize it to suit your work needs. You can use the to determine which controls to include and what they do, from simple tasks to complex routines. In addition to creating new controls, you can modify existing controls, remove controls you don't use, or relocate controls to other tabs. Because ribbons can be modified to be appropriate for the current terminal type, these changes are specific to each session type.
To modify the ribbon used by a session
With a session open in InfoConnect, from the , click 
.
Under , click .
To open the UI designer
Open a session document.
On the tab, in the group, click .
When you click in the , your changes are saved to the currently selected Custom UI file (*.xuml).
NOTE:If the currently selected Custom UI file is one of the built-in ribbons, InfoConnect automatically creates an editable copy of the built-in file and saves the copy with your modifications to the CustomUI folder in your InfoConnect user data folder This folder location is configurable using the tab during installation. The default is C:\Users\username\Documents\Micro Focus\InfoConnect. .
